Summer Training Tip:
The time for hiking, camping and swimming (dog paddling) is upon us!
There are a few things you can do to make this Summer season fun and safe for the whole family - two and four leggers!
First, check up on your first aid and emergency supplies either in your car or a portable pack.
Make sure you have supplies for most situations, injuries or emergencies. On top of having a top notch first
aid kit in your car, have plenty of emergency food, water and a warm blanket.
Second, get your dog ready by perfecting those training commands. Freshen up particularly
on the "come" command which can be a life saver when your dog is heading towards a dangerous situation. Also the
"leave it" command when your dog is even closer to a adangerous situation!
Training is an ongoing process with your dog. So be safe, and have lots of fantastic Summer
adventures this year!
